With over 14 years of experience working for A. Smith & Co. Productions, Kysha Mounia serves as co-executive producer of the seven-time NAACP Image Award-winning documentary series “Unsung” and A. Smith & Co.’s Director of Development in the company’s Dox division, which is dedicated to documentary and factual programming. Mounia contributes to A. Smith & Co.’s mission to create purposeful entertainment that spans genres within the unscripted television industry.

In her role on TV One’s “Unsung,” Mounia is responsible for implementing and realizing the creative vision during production, as well as hiring and managing staff, maintaining budgets and schedules, liaising with network executives and overseeing all clearances. “Unsung” is the network’s longest-running documentary series, and its popularity led to spinoffs, “Unsung Hollywood” and “Unsung Presents: Music & the Movement,” where Mounia served as supervising producer and executive producer respectively.

Other noteworthy credits include supervising producer on BET’s “Inside The Label;” supervising producer on TV One’s “Celebrity Crime Files;” production supervisor on truTV’s “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura;” and production supervisor on BET’s “American Gangster,” to name a few.

Prior to joining A. Smith & Co., Mounia worked at Asylum Entertainment (now known as The Content Group), The WB Television Network, and NBC Studios.
